This distinctive ring combines genuine green Moldavite with the rich warmth of solid copper, creating a striking contrast between one of the world’s most fascinating natural impact glasses and a metal that has been worked by humans for thousands of years.
Each ring is individually handcrafted in Australia, with genuine Moldavite carefully crushed and set into the centre channel of an 8mm solid copper band.
The result is a ring that changes beautifully with the light — from deep forest green through to brighter translucent flashes of green against the warm copper edges.
A Gemstone Born from Cosmic Impact
Moldavite is a rare natural glass known as a tektite, created approximately 15 million years ago following the enormous Ries meteorite impact in what is now southern Germany.
The extraordinary heat and energy generated by the impact melted terrestrial material and ejected it high into the atmosphere. As this material cooled and returned to Earth, it formed the distinctive green natural glass we now know as Moldavite.
Most genuine Moldavite is found within a relatively small region of the Czech Republic, making its geographical origin remarkably limited.
It is this extraordinary combination of Earth and cosmic impact that has fascinated collectors for generations.
Genuine Moldavite
We use genuine Moldavite, not imitation green glass.
The stone is carefully crushed into different particle sizes before being individually placed into the ring’s centre channel. Using varying fragments creates the naturally textured appearance and subtle differences in colour and light that you can see throughout the finished ring.
Because Moldavite is a natural material and every inlay is created individually, no two rings will ever be exactly the same.
Variations are part of the character of your ring.
Optional Green Glow
As standard, we incorporate a subtle green glow powder into the Moldavite inlay.
After exposure to light, the inlay can produce a green glow in darkness, adding another dimension to the ring while complementing the natural green tones of the Moldavite.
The glow is completely optional. If you prefer the appearance of the Moldavite without the glow effect, simply select No Glow when ordering.

Handcrafted from Solid Copper
Rather than using a plated copper-coloured band, the ring itself is made from solid copper.
The band is precision turned and shaped before the Moldavite channel is created, filled and carefully finished by hand.
Once completed, the polished copper creates a beautiful warm contrast against the deep green Moldavite.
Copper naturally develops character over time and may gradually change colour or develop a patina depending on wear, environment and the individual wearer. This is a natural characteristic of genuine copper rather than a defect.
