Few materials complement each other quite like copper and opal.
This handcrafted 8mm ring combines the rich warmth of solid copper with a dramatic black opal inlay, alive with shifting flashes of blue, green and fire. As the ring moves through different light, the colours within the opal continually change, giving every angle a different character.
Unlike a mass-produced ring blank, the copper band begins as solid copper stock and is individually lathe-turned and finished by hand in Australia.
The centre channel is then carefully inlaid with black opal, creating a striking contrast between the deep, almost midnight background of the opal and the warm metallic tones of the copper.
NATURALLY UNIQUE
No two opals display exactly the same pattern or colour.
The distribution of blue, green and other flashes will naturally vary from ring to ring, meaning the piece you receive will have its own individual character.

From turning the solid copper band through to preparing the channel, creating the opal inlay, finishing and polishing, every ring is made one at a time rather than mass produced.

A NOTE ABOUT COPPER
Copper is a living metal and naturally develops character over time.
Depending on the wearer, natural copper may darken or develop a patina, and some people may notice temporary green discolouration on the skin. This is a normal characteristic of genuine copper and is not harmful.
The ring can be polished periodically to restore its brighter copper finish.
